FUSION
was founded in Winter Quarter, 2001 by a group of undergraduate Stanford
students interested in exploring emerging trends of innovation in the
social sector.
FUSION's members are leaders in the service and pre-professional communities
on campus, and range across a number of majors including: Public Policy,
Urban Studies, Economics, Management Science, Human Biology, etc.

- Social Entrepreneurship Lecture Series:
Fall Quarter. This course offers an overview of social entrepreneurs and different applications of social entrepreneurship. Every week, social change agents talk candidly about their successes, failures, and inspiring moments, as well as the paths they took to become a social entrepreneur. The broach issues of health, homelessness, international development, funding, technology, and microlending. It serves as an introduction to the idea of social entrepreneurship. - Youth Venture Grants: This is a student-run initiative offering $1000 grants for students to initiate their own social enterprises. Youth Venture also offers support training to ensure the long-term success of each start-up. For info. email Marina Kim (markim@stanford.edu)

- Social Entrepreneurship Conference:
This is a one-day conference organized jointly with SAID (Stanford Association for International Development), to explore the applications of social entrepreneurship for international development. For more info. email Erin Krampetz (krampetz@stanford.edu)
- Community Project: FUSION works in partnership with a local nonprofit to create sustainable, management-level change within the organization.
